Bøge Boards

Bøgelund Studio

The design and craft of these boards began as an exercise in joinery, a technique ironically known as ‘breadboard ends’. A traditional mortise and tenon joint, it is fixed with shop-made dowels that are bored in such a way so as to allow for natural movement of the timber. More than just an aesthetic consideration, the ends act as bracing, helping to keep the board flat over time.
